FAQs
A STORAGE UNIT: HOW DO I RENT ONE?
On our website, in person during facility business hours, or by calling us anytime of the day, you can rent a storage unit.
Regardless matter how you wish to rent, simply stop by the facility office on the day of move-in to sign your lease and present a photo ID.
WHAT MUST I BRING IN ORDER TO RENT A STORAGE UNIT?
You will need to present a valid photo ID when it is time to check into your unit. Also required, but only if you haven’t already, is the first month’s rent. We advise bringing your proof of insurance as well if you are using your own plan to insure your unit.
CAN I RENT STORAGE FOR SOMEONE ELSE?
No, you cannot lease a storage space for someone else. To sign the lease, the individual renting the storage unit must be present.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO RENT STORAGE ONLINE WITHOUT VISITING IN PERSON?
Renting online will save you time and money, but you must check in at the facility office on the day of your move. Providing a copy of your ID and signing the lease are all that are required after you have finished the online rental process and made your payment.
HOW DO I LEAVE?
We make the move-out procedure as simple as we can even though we hate to see anyone depart. We’ll close down your account the day your unit is cleared out if you just let us know you’re going and empty your space. We kindly request that you notify us one month in advance that you will be leaving your unit.
CAN I CHANGE THE SIZE OF MY STORAGE UNIT LATER?
If you discover that your needs have changed, we would be pleased to assist you in choosing a different unit. Simply visit the location during business hours.
ARE YOU REQUIRED TO BE INSURED?
All consumers must either provide proof of insurance or choose our Value Coverage option. Our Value Coverage option, while not an insurance policy, is the most practical approach to comply with this requirement. For the month you move in, we provide you with a 3 000$ coverage. If you need more coverage, we’ll provide Value Coverage at low cost to you. For more information, please speak with your facility manager.
DO THERE APPEAR TO BE ANY LIMITATIONS ON WHAT I CAN STORE?
Food and other perishable products are prohibited, as are items that emit foul odours, are combustible, or contain explosives. Please refer to your lease for a complete list of what is and is not permitted in storage. Please get in touch with your facility manager if you have any inquiries concerning specific things.
AM I ALLOWED TO LIVE IN A STORAGE UNIT?
You cannot live in a storage unit, sorry. Despite how alluring the prices for storage lockers may be, it’s dangerous (and illegal).
A PREMIUM LOCATION IS WHAT?
A unit’s premium status is based on a variety of variables, including climate control, heating, height of ceiling and accessibility to the building’s entrance or elevators. Ask your facility manager for more information; they will be pleased to walk you through your choices and assist you in locating the ideal storage option.
